I have a master bedroom and bath downstairs, a study and a powder room just off the entrance foyer. The palette provided does have repose gray, which will probably look great throughout the great room, kitchen, dining area and loft space upstarirs. Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams is about as close as you can get to a near perfect paint color. I have used Repose Gray in several areas of my home including my office/craft/family room space : Yes, every color does change in different lighting room to room, but sometimes a color will look amazing in natural light but not so great in artificial or evening light. These very slight changes give slight contrast room to room. ![]() The other reason this color works so well used throughout a whole home is that you get the feel that each room is a slightly different color or shade of a color because of the changes in lighting. Don’t let the gray in the name fool you, it’s really a combination of warmth and gray, as you can see in all of these images. Often times, when I recommend Repose Gray to people, they are hesitant because they think that the color will be too cold or gray. In spaces lacking natural light, where artificial light is the main source, Repose looks like a lighter mid-tone warm gray with that perfect balance of warmth and gray. In spaces filled with a lot of natural light, it can look white with a very slight hint of warm gray. Repose Gray is one of those very rare colors that looks amazing in almost any light, which is why it’s the perfect whole home/open concept paint color. I knew Repose would do what this color does best and just shine in every room of this beautiful open home: When it came time to choose the interior colors, I recommended Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams for the whole home. ![]() ![]() (Cabinets are painted in Decorator’s White and island is Wrought Iron both Benjamin Moore) I can’t wait to share the exterior and more of the home with you guys when it’s finished. Honestly, I feel that Repose is hands down, the best paint color out there today for many reasons that I wanted to really explain today. The answer to that question is very easy for me Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams.
